The Berkeley Church was the location for the 2nd annual “The Big Give” charity gala, with 100% of proceeds from ticket sales being donated to Look Good Feel Better.
” LGFB is dedicated to improving the self-esteem and quality of life of women undergoing treatment for cancer. Look Good Feel Better is Canada’s only charitable cancer program dedicated to empowering women to manage the effects that cancer and its treatment can have on their appearance. Created from a belief that if a woman with cancer can be helped to look good, chances are she’ll feel better, her spirits will be lifted and she’ll be empowered to face her illness with greater confidence.” http://www.lgfb.ca/en/about-lgfb/
The mezzanine at the Berkeley Church was an ideal location to spread out the beautiful auction items. (To see more about the anatomy of the Berkeley Church )
“At the heart of Look Good Feel Better is the free, two-hour hands-on workshop offered
at 120 cancer care facilities and hospitals across the country. The workshop brings together women with cancer in a safe and supportive environment where they benefit from shared experiences and learn how to look and feel more like themselves again.”http://www.lgfb.ca/en/
” It was an evening of smiles and good vibes. Beyond a heartwarming cause, guests were treated to live bands, tons of yummy snacks and an open bar. Ginormous raffle prizes were auctioned off throughout the night, including one lucky lady who won a surf board. Tubular! Could she fit the surf board in the backseat of the cab on her way home? We will never ever know but always wonder.” http://www.shedoesthecity.com/berkeley-church-full-of-glamorous-guests-with-lotsa-love-for-the-big-give-annual-fundraising-gala
