The Berkeley Church celebrated its 15th birthday last night in what guests described as “a super fun party”, “an inspired gathering to gather ideas from”. It was also a chance for the Berkeley Church to celebrate all of the wonderful professionals at the Berkeley church and in the Toronto Events community who continue to strive for excellence with creative, meaningful events.
Berkeley Church has had the honour of having many worthy causes and prominent figures host events at Berkeley Church.
President Bill Clinton- The Clinton Foundation Presents: A Night Out with The Millennium Network
President Bill Clinton presented grand yet simple ideas in paragraphs, flowing, encouraging, deliberate. He reflected on the opportunities his life has afforded him and reminded all in attendance of their interdependence through his reference of E.O. Wilson’s last work “The Social Conquest of Earth” and lessons that the devastation the recent earthquake in Haiti has reinforced regarding the fundamental state of inequality that persists in today’s world. On November 15th, the Canadian Olympic Committee hosted an event at the Berkeley Church in Toronto to celebrate the achievements of the Olympic Athletes and the corporate sponsors who supported them.

Toronto Production company Original Spin Media (Paul McNulty (https://vimeo.com/paulmcnulty) and Daniel Berman (also known online as Reservoir Dan) sought to provide local music fans with top-notch entertainment for their first season of the internationally broadcast television series Beautiful Noise and delivered in a big way with the booking of Feist. The hour long plus set featured a selection of tunes from her Let It Die record and also provided the audience with a glimpse of what would become one of 2007’s top records. The Reminder was on practically every Top 10 and 20 list and garnered Feist a Pop Album of the Year nomination at 2008’s 50th Grammy Awards. Sea Lion Woman is one such tune that Feist played that night. See for yourselves.
