Bisous Events shares how this Elegant Translucent Minimal Styled shoot at Airship37  is a blueprint for a unique Intimate Celebration.

Looking back on this gorgeous styled shoot, what strikes you as a timeless detail that works with any wedding design?

Weddings are surprisingly very trendy and change year-to-year. However, in general, I would say to ensure a timeless wedding, authenticity always makes it feel relevant.

Make sure you infuse yourself into the wedding through the colours and details versus doing dress silhouettes that feel forced or colours that are just on trend for that year.

Try incorporating your cultural or religious traditions, that’s always very meaningful and reflective of you as a couple.

How would the design elements and setting of this styled shoot be applied and adapted to be the format for a micro wedding or small intimate celebration?

I absolutely love intimate celebrations and this shoot was so much fun! For those that are into this style of design, you could easily take elements to weddings of all sizes but especially micro weddings, such as the neutral colour palette, the gorgeous furniture, the minimalist table florals or the hanging blooming branches.

The great thing about micro weddings is that you have all the space to configure the tables as you like which isn’t always possible with tighter-packed weddings.

As well, furniture can get pricey but because you don’t need to rent as much, you can be a little more elaborate with your furniture rentals and tablescapes.

What was the original spark of inspiration for this styled shoot?

Erin Winn of The Look Bridal actually came to me with the idea of doing an all white minimalist shoot but I expanded the concept a bit to neutrals and playing with a little effortless glam – boho and upscale.

I personally love minimal or boho inspirations but I wanted to see how we could take that up a level with the gorgeous dresses from the bridal shop, White, and the beautiful grey transparent chairs.

You know the venue Airship37 quite well having designed and planned in this space for weddings and events. What makes it a unique and versatile choice for you?

I love Airship37 because it is so “Toronto!” It’s this little hidden gem that is so versatile

– you can make it more casual or dressed up since it’s a blank space. So many of my clients want a mix of outdoor and indoor, the Distillery is right there so it’s great for quick portraits during cocktails, the food is great and there are 2 rooms so you easily flip one room even if it’s the winter season. Can’t wait to be back in the space soon!
