Doritos Canada celebrated the re- release of Doritos Inferno with a multi- faceted media launch at Airship37.
Chef Matty Matheson pushed the envelop with his cooking skills by grilling up some Dorito-inspired dishes live for guests to see over burning hot molten lava.
The LAVA steak Doritos nachos were made in partnership with The Lava Project and Matty Matheson.
Toronto bloggers, influencers and foodies documented and shared the dishes and their experiences.
The Lava Project is the undertaking of sculptor Bob Wysocki. It’s about art, science, and occasionally cooking food.
Volcano explorer Ulla Lohmann was present to introduce and present her exclusive 360 footage of her trip into the Ambrym Volcano in Vanuatu. “Ulla Lohmann is a German photojournalist and documentary filmmaker with a BSc degree in Natural Resource Management. Airship37 event venue Toronto tucked in adjacent to the Distillery District was an location for this event with a large open concept industrial Hangar space and the intimate rustic Gooderham Lounge.
Dishes from Berkeley Catering were served that incorporated the doritos into every dish.
Dishes included whitefish ceviche on inferno chips spicy tuna roll shrimp volcano with inferno crumbs chicken empanadas burning chocolate “twix”.
Guests enjoyed Doritos rimmed caesars in the Gooderham Lounge.
